Nicolas J. S. Davies is an independent journalist, a researcher for CODEPINK and the author of Blood on Our Hands: The American Invasion and Destruction of Iraq. He is the co-author with Medea Benjamin of War in Ukraine: Making Sense of a Senseless Conflict, published by OR Books in November 2022. Just weeks before the announcement of the “special operation” in Ukraine, Benjamin and Davies wrote an article (in The Progressive, 2022) “The United States Is Reaping What It Sowed in Ukraine,” and subsequently, they co-authored another one (published in Salon this year): “After two grueling years of bloodshed, it’s time for peace in Ukraine.”
